Tom Briscoe has scored three international tries |
Hull FC's international winger Tom Briscoe has welcomed the RFL's decision to give the England squad more training time together next summer. After losing to Australia and New Zealand in the Four Nations tournament, Briscoe believes the players need to get to know each other better. The 20-year-old told BBC Radio Humberside: "We will make a better team the more we play together. "It was just a shame about the matches and the results for us." Briscoe will return to training with Hull FC after Christmas, after taking his first extended break from the game for two seasons. However, the winger says he will be ready for the start of the season, despite reporting back later than the rest of the squad. "Being out on the wing, it's not like I'm a major playmaker and have to learn all the moves," Briscoe added. "My fitness will be fine for the season and it won't hinder me."
