McShane joined the Leeds academy in 2006

Hull FC have confirmed on-loan hooker Paul McShane will remain at the club for another week.

The number nine joined from Leeds on a one-month deal in mid-April to help cover for the absence of injured first-choice hooker Shaun Berrigan.

That deal has expired but Hull have now secured McShane's services for another seven days, making him eligible to play on Sunday against Castleford.

The 20-year-old will compete with Danny Houghton for the hooker's role.

McShane has made three appearances for the Black and Whites, impressing fans with his committed and exciting displays.
