Cusack joined Hull FC from South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2008 |
Hull FC prop Peter Cusack has signed a one-year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2010. Cusack, 32, is likely to miss the rest of the season as he is recovering from wrist surgery but has been rewarded for his early season form. "Being injured is frustrating and it feels a bit like unfinished business," said the club's vice-captain. "I would have hated to leave like this and now I feel I have a chance to contribute to this side playing well". The former State of Origin forward joined the Black and Whites following spells with Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs, arriving from the latter in 2008. | Pete is a good bloke, a terrific professional and a great influence on the other players Hull FC coach Richard Agar |
He made over 160 appearances in the NRL as well as appearing in four Grand Finals, he also represented New South Wales on two occasions. Hull coach Richard Agar added: "Pete is a good bloke and a terrific professional, he trains very hard and has a great influence on the other players. "I think we will see his leadership and influence come to the fore next year and he will have a big role to play next season".
