Fitzgibbon scored 1,394 points during his time with the Roosters |
Hull FC have secured the signing of Australian back row forward Craig Fitzgibbon from Sydney Roosters for the 2010 Super League campaign. The 31-year old has signed a one-year deal with the club, with an option of a further year. "I am really happy about the deal and can't wait to come across to England," Fitzgibbon told the club's website. "I am a big fan of Super League and I'm fully aware that Hull are a big club with massive ambitions." Hull FC head coach Richard Agar is delighted to have secured the services of Fitzgibbon. "I think he is a very good player, he has captained his club and his record speaks for itself. He is the record points scorer for a forward," Agar said. | 606: DEBATE |
"During our negotiations with Craig I had a number of conversations with him and he is very excited about coming here and having a new challenge. Fitzgibbon has collected more than 1,500 points while playing for Illawarra Steelers, St George Dragons and the Sydney Roosters. He became the highest scoring forward in the history of the NRL in August 2006.
