Radford scored one try and one goal in Super League last season |
Hull FC have been boosted by the news that skipper Lee Radford has agreed an extension to his contract. The former Bradford Bulls, 29, second-row forward will stay at the East Yorkshire club until the end of 2010. Hull-born Radford said: "To have got things sorted out now means I can fully concentrate on next season. "I feel we have a good squad, we have an option to add to it if the right player comes along, and I firmly expect us to be challenging for honours." | 606: DEBATE |
Radford enjoyed considerable success with the Bulls before switching back to his home-town club, for whom he made his debut at the age of 16. In his first season Hull reached the Super League Grand Final but Radford is the first to admit that last season fell below expectations. "Last year was a disaster and I believe it will act as a springboard for us to kick on next season and get back up the league table," he added.
