Horne has earned a place in Great Britain's Tri-Nations squad |
Richard Horne believes Hull can upset St Helens for a second time this season and reach the Super League Grand Final. "We know it is a big ask to go there and win," said Horne. "But we've been there once and got a result so there is no reason why we can't do it again."
Paul Cooke's late drop-goal gave Hull a 27-26 victory at Saints in June, their first win at Knowsley Road since 1988.
The two sides meet again in St Helens on Friday knowing victory will mean a trip to Old Trafford on 14 October.
Hull, who have never reached the Grand Final, were in the middle of a record-breaking run of 13 straight Super League wins when they beat St Helens on 8 June.
"We were probably playing our best rugby, so it was a good time to go there," said Horne. "It was a great performance and a great game to play in."

But the 2005 Challenge Cup winners, now coached by Australian Peter Sharp, have gone off the boil in recent weeks, losing their last two games against Wigan and Warrington.
"We just need to get back to the basics to help us regain the form we had in the middle of the season, but it shouldn't be too hard," added the 24-year-old scrum-half.
"Defensively we're a lot better than we were last year and we just need to tweak a few things in our offence to get us right to get a result against Saints.

"It's hard to get away from how big an occasion Friday is and what is at stake.
"But we have a lot of experience on our team now after last year's Challenge Cup and we'll probably treat the game in a similar way."
Whoever comes off second best on Friday will get another chance to make the Grand Final.
The loser will play the winner of Saturday's clash between Bradford and Warrington in the final eliminator on 6 October.
