Brown led Huddersfield to last season's Challenge Cup final |
Huddersfield Giants coach Nathan Brown has escaped punishment over his comments suggesting that players should take the law into their own hands. Brown claimed he would order his team's bigger players to protect their smaller team-mates if referees would not. He was speaking after Giants hooker Luke Robinson was the victim of a harsh tackle by Wigan's Sean O'Loughlin in the 28-10 defeat on Sunday. The Rugby Football League has cautioned O'Loughlin and decided to leave Brown. Referee Ben Thaler spoke to the Warriors skipper during the match but refrained from sending him off or sin-binning him. O'Loughlin's caution will remain on record and could be held against him in future.
