Raleigh rejoined the Giants from Hull KR in 2006 |
Huddersfield prop Andy Raleigh, 29, has signed a new three-year contract that will see him remain with the Giants until the end of the 2013 season. Giants coach Nathan Brown told BBC Radio Leeds: "He might not be the star of the team but more often than not you know he's going to do the right thing. "That helps the team win games and he does it on a consistent basis. "I think for the club going forward, not only on the field but also off the field, Andy's a good player to keep." Raleigh, who was born in Huddersfield, told the club website: "The deal has been done pretty quickly, and I'm absolutely delighted to know I'll be here for a further three years. "To be honest, the negotiations didn't take too long, because I never wanted to go anywhere else. "I love it here and it's been amazing seeing how the Giants have grown as a club since I've been here, and I didn't want to give that up. "We've just kept on growing stronger and stronger and under Nathan Brown I know that process will continue, so to be wanted for a further three years is an incredible feeling. "It's now up to me to make sure I keep repaying the faith the club have shown in me."
