McNally left Haven for Huddersfield in November 2008

Whitehaven have signed Huddersfield scrum-half Gregg McNally on a dual registration deal which will see him spend an initial month in Cumbria.

McNally, 20, joined the Super League outfit from Haven on a permanent basis in 2008, but was loaned back to the Championship side for last season.

Giants have recently signed Wakefield half-back Danny Brough, limiting McNally's first team opportunities.

The deal can be further extended on a week-to-week basis.

The former Kells amateur made his senior debut for Haven in a televised win over Salford in the 2008 season.
