Sculthorpe was banned by Wakefield for seven days earlier this season |
Huddersfield Giants coach Nathan Brown will assess the form of prop Danny Sculthorpe in the coming weeks before deciding whether to offer him a deal. The 29-year-old former Wigan forward joined in May on loan from Wakefield, where his contract expires at the end of the season. Brown said: "We basically said come and train for a few weeks and we'll give you four or five weeks of football. "A few weeks' time is probably when we will sit back and talk about [a deal]." He added: "Front row is obviously an important position in the game and we have got some areas in our roster we need to improve. "We feel Scully coming here has given our squad a lift." Sculthorpe's move to Huddersfield saw fellow forward Michael Korkidas move in the opposite direction and it also remains to be decided whether that move becomes permanent as part of any deal for Sculthorpe. Brown added: "It's been a win-win for both clubs and we will probably be a bit more aware of what we are going to do in three or four weeks."
