Catalans Dragons have signed Australian centre Ben Farrar on a two-year deal. The 23-year-old has played most of the year at full-back for Manly Sea Eagles in the absence of Brett Stewart. New Dragons coach Trent Robinson said: "Ben has been one of the most sought-after young players in the past two seasons in the NRL." On Monday, Catalans recruited Ireland winger Damien Blanch from Super League rivals Wakefield Wildcats, also on a two-year contract. The 27-year-old, who has also played for Penrith Panthers, Castleford Tigers and Widnes Vikings, scored 12 tries in 21 Super League appearances this year. Dragons general manager Christophe Levy said: "He is a really good finisher and will definitely bring a lot of pace. "Chris Walker has an uncertain future with us, so it was important to strengthen our backline." Catalans are rebuilding for 2011 after Robinson succeeded Kevin Walters in the Perpignan hotseat.
