Catalans Dragons have made a third key signing in three weeks by bringing in Australian forward Jason Baitieri from Sydney Roosters on a two-year deal.

Baitieri, 21, will join a new-look Dragons next season as new coach Trent Robinson rebuilds a team that look set to finish bottom of Super League.

Another Aussie, Scott Dureau, will come from Newcastle Knights, along with former Bradford hooker Ian Henderson.

"I'm looking forward to a fresh start at the Catalans," said Baiteri.

'I'm very happy to be with the Dragons for the next two years."

Catalans will finish bottom of Super League for the second time in five years if they do not beat Huddersfield in their final game of the campaign this Sunday.

And the signing of three new players, with more still to come, will offset a major clear-out in Perpignan as Robinson bids to turn things round.

Already, the club has confirmed that Dallas Johnson, Olivier Elima, Steven Bell, Brent Sherwin, Dimitri Pelo and brothers Kane and Andrew Bentley will all be leaving.

Baitieri, who made his NRL debut for the victorious Roosters against the Tigers this season, was born in Paris and played junior rugby league in Toulouse before returning to Australia when he was eight.

He is the son of a former rugby league player, Tas Baitieri, the former French national rugby league coach, who was also the chief executive of French Super League side Paris Saint Germain, having played both his club rugby both in Australia and France.
