Owen scored a try in the 41-22 defeat at Bradford

Castleford's Richard Owen looks likely to miss the rest of the season after confirmation of his double leg break in Friday's defeat at Bradford Bulls.

The young winger, who suffered a break to both his tibia and fibula, will undergo an operation later this week.

Speaking from Bradford Royal Infirmary, Owen said: "These things happen in sport. I'll be OK."

Meanwhile, scrum-half Brent Sherwin was sidelined last Friday night because of a recurrence of a knee injury.
