Bradford Bulls' Nick Scruton out for eight to 10 weeks

Bradford Bulls prop Nick Scruton has suffered a major injury blow.

Scans have confirmed that he suffered ligament damage in the defeat by Warrington earlier this month and will be sidelined for eight to 10 weeks.

Bulls coach Steve McNamara said: "It's really unfortunate for Nick who has been outstanding for us since his arrival at the club.

"He will receive the best treatment to make sure he gets back onto the field before the end of the season."

Bulls football manager Stuart Duffy said: "We had to wait for the swelling to go down before Nick could have the scan and that took place last Friday.

"We got the results back yesterday and they confirmed our worst fears; that Nick would be missing for between eight and 10 weeks."

The 25-year-old England international has been an ever-present for Bradford since signing from Leeds Rhinos at the start of last season.
