McNamara is into his third season as Bulls head coach |
Bradford Bulls former star Robbie Paul said the Super League strugglers were right to stick with Steve McNamara. There had been calls for the head coach to be sacked after a poor start to the season, but in recent weeks the Bulls have beaten both Leeds and St Helens. "Steve has been under a terrible amount of pressure this season and the fans have been really after him," Paul told the BBC's Super League Show. "The win over Saints shows what a good motivator he is." Bradford caused one of the shocks of the season by beating Saints on their own patch on Friday night 34-30, to move third bottom of the table. The West Yorkshire side have now won three, drawn one and lost six. Paul added: "Steve has a good set of players, who when they play to their ability they can beat anyone. "The spirit and determination the Bulls showed to hold on to the win at Saints shows the positive effect of the coach." Rugby League fans can watch the Super League Show again via the Red Button or the BBC's iPlayer.
