Evans was an important figure for Wakefield as they avoided the drop |
Bradford Bulls have signed Australian centre James Evans on a two-year deal. The 27-year-old, who spent three years at Huddersfield before a loan spell at Wakefield, is exempt from the overseas quota because of his Welsh heritage.
"Wakefield wanted to keep him and I know Wigan were after him last season," said Bulls coach Steve McNamara.
"I'm delighted he has agreed to join us here and in many ways he could be a surprise package. He has a desire to do really well in the game."
Evans was a key figure for Wakefield at the end of last season, scoring two tries in their final game of the season against Castleford in a win which kept the Wildcats in Super League.
