Bradford Bulls have signed 22-year-old full-back Michael Platt from Castleford on a two-year contract. Platt's transfer follows Tigers' relegation from Super League.
Platt, who said other clubs wanted to sign him, joined Castleford from Rochdale Hornets having started his career at Salford City Reds.
"I was gutted when Cas went down - it's a nice club with good people - but something good has come out of it for me," said Platt.
"At Bradford, there'll be a better environment, better players and hopefully I can raise my game to another level. That's what I need to do."
Bulls Coach Steve McNamara said: "He's had a good season with Castleford and fits a lot of criteria for us in terms of age, speed and attacking qualities.
"He has the potential to improve a lot, lot more and we're looking forward to working with him."
