Many clubs were reportedly interested in signing Morley |
Adrian Morley is reported to be ready to return to Super League after being offered only a one-year contract extension by Sydney Roosters. Morley's contract with the Roosters is up this season and he is likely to be offered three-year deals in England.
"He would like to be here [Sydney] longer, they're the only NRL club he'll play for," said Morley's manager Andrew Purcell.
"There were 10 clubs interested in the UK, we've whittled it down to two now."
Warrington, Bradford and Leeds are thought to lead the chase.
Morley, 29, left Leeds for Sydney in 2000 but played six games on loan for the Bulls at the end of last season, including playing against his old Rhinos team-mates in the Super League Grand Final.
Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan is quoted by nrl.com as saying that the club will not change its stance on the length of the contract offer.
"It's just sitting with him now," Canavan said.
"There's no deadline, we'd never do that with Adrian, he's too good a bloke."
