 | Hull (8) 19 Tries: Domic, Blacklock, R Horne. Goals: Cooke 3 Drop Goals: R Horne. Huddersfield (6) 6 Tries: Mason. Goals: De Vere. | Hull moved into third in Super League after they beat Huddersfield to secure their seventh league win in a row. Just four tries were scored, with Hull taking the lead through Paul Cooke's fifth-minute penalty. Prop Keith Mason's converted try gave the Giants a 6-2 lead, but Sid Domic's converted score gave Hull a narrow half-time advantage. They pulled away after the break with tries from Nathan Blacklock and Richard Horne, who also landed a drop goal. Hull coach Peter Sharp: "I thought it was fairly uninspiring on our behalf. "I just think we were off the pace today a fair way but the good thing is we toughed it out, defended pretty well for the best part and got a win. "That was very pleasing - but the way we went about it wasn't." Huddersfield coach John Sharp: "We created enough opportunities to win two games - we blew it. "We certainly felt we had four clear-cut scoring opportunities, but I can't give my side enough praise, I thought we were tremendous. "When you come to Hull and you play against such an array of skilful players, defensively you need to be very good and today I thought we defended extremely well and we proved a difficult side to break down."
