 | Warrington (26) 46 Tries: Fa'afili, Swann, Clarke, Barnett, Grose 2, Wood, Briers Goals: Briers 7 Castleford (6) 28 Tries: Shenton 2, Lupton, Bird, Sculthorpe Goals: Huby 3, McGoldrick | Warrington kept up their challenge for a play-off spot with a comfortable home win over Castleford. Although Michael Shenton gave the Tigers an early lead, the Wolves quickly replied through Henry Fa'afili. They maintained the pressure with four more tries in the half to leave them in a strong position before the visitors threatened a second-half comeback. But they were unable to keep out the Wolves, with Brent Grose going on to score the second of his two tries. Warrington coach Paul Cullen
"There was a lot more fight in them today than there was last time we played but we weren't at our best. "If you rattle up 60-odd points against a team then they're going to come back and have a bit of a go, and to be fair, they did. "Last time there were points where, once we'd got them over, they had no answers, but they came back and had a bit of a fight. You can see they've not given up on their season." Castleford coach Terry Matterson
"There were too many elementary mistakes and we were on the wrong side of the penalty count. "Warrington are a quality side and I think the difference in this game was their completion rate - it was around 55%. "There were good signs in attack but you've got to earn the right to get in a position to do that."
