Thorman had only just returned from an ankle injury |
Huddersfield captain Chris Thorman faces six weeks on the sidelines after cracking a bone in his thumb. Thorman picked up the injury during Saturday's defeat to Wigan but only realised how serious it was after a painful training session.
Giants coach Jon Sharp said: "The only consolation is that a surgeon was able to operate immediately, but it's still going to keep him out for six weeks.
"It's disappointing for the team, but even more disappointing for Chris."
Vice-captain Brad Drew will lead the side against Harlequins on Saturday.
