Stand-in Bradford skipper Paul Deacon broke Keith Mumby's club record of 779 goals as the Bulls saw off the Giants. The Great Britain scrum-half, still only 27, converted eight of his side's nine tries to take his tally to 780 and write his name into the history books.
Ex-Wigan hooker Terry Newton made his Bulls debut after a lengthy suspension and scored the game's first try.
Bradford led 16-0 before Chris Thorman and Chris Nero crossed for the Giants, but the Bulls were not to be denied.
The build-up to the game had been overshadowed by all the speculation surrounding Bradford coach Brian Noble.
Many expect this to be his last match in charge after he held talks with Wigan over the weekend following the sacking of Ian Millward.
But rumours of his imminent departure failed to knock the Bulls out of their stride as they moved above Salford and back into the top three in Super League XI with a polished performance.
After Newton went over for the opening try after 10 minutes in his first game for seven months, he turned provider, working the ball out to the right wing for Marcus Bai to offload to Paul Johnson.
Deacon added a third try on 20 minutes before Huddersfield hit back through Chris Thorman and Chris Nero.
Bai went over himself to made it 22-12 to the Bulls and after, man of the match Stuart Fielden and Shontayne Hape both extended the home side's advantage before Lesley Vainikolo went over twice in the final ten minutes.
Bradford coach Brian Noble on Paul Deacon "Paul is a marksman par excellence and I thought he took the line on and looked very sharp with the ball. Some of his short kicking and short passing play was super.
"It's a superb record to break because Keith Mumby was an iconic figure at this
club.
"Paul is only 27 so he's not only going to break it but blow it out of the water."
Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp "They were clinical and put us to the sword.
"I was disappointed that the scoreline blew out. I didn't think it was a fair reflection of the game. "I was proud of the way we battled and never gave in. The injuries knocked us
about a bit."
