The really scary thing for me - and for the rest of Super League - is the quality of the youngsters we've got coming through the ranks at Bradford.
Leon Pryce has an even bigger brother! |
They've played a big part in our pre-season and the performances they have given have gained them a lot of respect from the senior players and that has boosted their confidence The club does everything it can to encourage players like Matt Cook, Nicky Saxton, Chris Bridge - they're all young guys and very raw, but they have so much natural talent.
And then there's Karl Pryce, Leon's younger brother. He is going to be an absolute monster.
He's 6ft 4in, can run like the wind and has incredible natural balance and ability - he's shaping up to be rugby league's answer to Jonah Lomu.
The fact that he's still growing is a terrifying prospect. I'm frightened for the opposition who are going to play against him.
I want to make sure he stays on my team because I don't want to have to play against him!
And it doesn't stop there.
 | I wouldn't swap our bunch of youngsters for anyone |
There's Jamie Langley who is so strong and has amazing ball skills. And Aaron Smith has come on so much. He's doing a great job of filling Jimmy Lowes' shoes at hooker. But the funny thing is that established players like Stuart Reardon and Leon Pryce are still only babies really.
That's the quality of the youth structure that we have at Bradford. We've identified and nurtured talent and schooled them in the Bradford way.
You hear a lot about the youngsters coming through at Wigan and at Leeds, but I wouldn't swap our bunch for anyone.
