Brian Noble will call on youth |
Bradford Bulls coach Brian Noble has confirmed that teenager Aaron Smith will play at hooker in Friday's World Club Challenge match against Penrith. But Noble is keeping everyone guessing over his choice of half-backs in the absence of Robbie Paul and Paul Deacon.
Deacon's absence through injury, in particular, will cause the Bulls problems in the kicking department.
Karl Pratt and Leon Pryce are the favourites to fill the vacant number six and seven shirts.
"Pratt and Price may be our halves, and they may not be our halves," said Noble on Monday.

"It's something we have had to work on in the last 10 days, but we won't be making any excuses. "We've enough talent at Bradford to compensate for the injuries. We're excited by this challenge and we'll be as prepared as Penrith Panthers are."
Penrith coach John Lang defended his decision to go into the fixture without a warm-up match.
"We've had the best possible preparation," he said.
"We have chosen to go in fresh and we have the advantage of a very settled side.

"I think we've a big advantage in that regard and there is no reason why we can't play well straight off the mark."
