Radlinski returns for Wigan
Wigan's Kris Radlinski
Radlinski is close to setting a new Super League record
Wigan welcome back Kris Radlinski for their match against Warrington at Wilderspool on Monday.

The Great Britain full-back has been out with a chest injury since 12 July and has missed six Super League matches.

The Lance Todd Trophy winner goes into the game needing two tries to become the first player to score a career century of Super League touchdowns.

Wigan coach Stuart Raper is also boosted by the return to fitness of experienced second row forward Dave Furner.

It is going to be hard graft and the players are aware of that
Warrington coach Paul Cullen

Warrington have lost their last four matches but, under new coach Paul Cullen for the first time, they were beaten only by a point at Widnes last Sunday.

They will be expected to rise to the occasion on Monday, just as they did when Cullen was in charge for the home game against Wigan in 1997.

Back in Super League II, Cullen and Alex Murphy stepped into the breach following the sudden departure of John Dorahy.

Unbeaten run

And they guided the club to a shock 35-24 win over a Wigan side coached by Eric Hughes.

"We had a very young talented centre Nigel Vagana, a young Iestyn Harris and a young Paul Sculthorpe in the team that day," recalled Cullen.

"It was a hard fought battle and, thanks to Vagana's hat-trick, we came out victors that day. It was a good day for the club."

Cullen will be hoping for a repeat of the performance which earned a 47-38 victory over Wigan last season, in which Lee Briers scored 23 points.

But the Warriors have put together an 11-match unbeaten run since they lost at Bradford in May and Cullen knows his side face a stern test.

"It is going to be hard graft and the players are aware of that," said the new coach.

Cullen makes just one change to the side that lost 19-18 at the Halton Stadium, recalling Dave Alstead at centre for the suspended Ben Westwood.
