| Saturday's mouth-watering Gillette Tri-Nations final between Great Britain and world champions Australia will be refereed by England's Russell Smith. New Zealander Glen Black was in line to referee the final at Elland Road. But the Australians were concerned over Black's inexperience and successfully pushed for the appointment of Smith. The Englishman, who was in charge of Australia's group games against New Zealand, was recently named international referee of the year.
