Hape handed chance against Lions
Shontayne Hape
Hape takes over from Vainikolo
Bradford threequarter Shontayne Hape will make his New Zealand debut against Great Britain in Saturday's Gillette Tri-Nations Series clash.

He takes over the left-wing spot from Bulls team-mate Lesley Vainikolo, who has undergone knee surgery.

Coach Daniel Anderson has made two other changes to the side which lost 32-12 to Australia at Loftus Road.

Clinton Toopi replaces Paul Whatuira at left centre and second rower Ali Lauitiiti is recalled to the bench.

Lauitiiti, who missed the opening Tri-Nations game because it clashed with the Super League Grand Final, takes over from Roy Asotasi.

In a positional change, captain Ruben Wiki moves up into the front row at the expense of Nathan Cayless while David Kidwell starts in the second row.

Bradford captain Robbie Paul retains his place on the bench despite what he described as his "worst performance in a black-and-white jersey" against Australia.

New Zealand: B Webb (NZ Warriors); F Meli (NZ Warriors), N Vagana (Cronulla), C Toopi (NZ Warriors), S Hape (Bradford); V Anderson (NZ Warriors), T Leuluai (NZ Warriors); J Cayless (Sydney Roosters), L Anderson (NZ Warriors), R Wiki (Canberra, capt), L Swann (Warrington), D Kidwell (Melbourne), S B Williams (Canterbury). Replacements: R Paul (Bradford), N Cayless (Parramatta), P Rauhihi (North Queensland), A Lauitiiti (Leeds).
