Pryce has flourished in his first season at St Helens |
Leon Pryce has played in some big matches in some fantastic stadiums, but he does not rate his first Challenge Cup final at Twickenham as one of them. Pryce was part of the Bradford team that lost to St Helens at the venue in the forgettable final of 2001.
"It didn't feel like a proper Challenge Cup day because of the stadium and its rugby union ties," said the Saints ace.
"We lost, so that's maybe why I am a little bit negative about it, but hopefully this time it can be better."
Pryce, who won the Cup with the Bulls in 2000 and 2003, reckons he is in the form of his life since his switch from Odsal to Knowsley Road in the close season.

His partnership with Sean Long has not only helped propel St Helens to the Challenge Cup final and top of the Super League table, but it could also be the perfect partnership for Great Britain in this autumn's Tri-Nations series.
"I'm very settled here and I'm playing some of the best rugby of my career," said the 24-year-old Pryce.
"We have a very smart coach and this is definitely the best squad I have ever played in."
But Pryce is not getting carried away with pre-match predictions of a St Helens walkover against Huddersfield.
"I hate it when people take things for granted," he said.
"I don't want to be in the situation where everyone's thinking we have won and it's just a case of who's going to win the Lance Todd Trophy.
"To me that's a load of rubbish and it shows a lot of disrespect to Huddersfield."
