Bradford (8) 8 Tries: Herbert Goals: Ah Van 2
Hull KR (6) 34 Tries: Galea, Murrell, Fox, Hodgson, Welham, Green Goals: Dobson 5 Hull KR kept their play-off hopes alive but killed off Bradford's with their first win at Odsal since 1991. Patrick Ah Van's kicking and a fine long-range try by Marc Herbert gave the Bulls an early advantage. But Ben Galea dragged the visitors back into the game when he went over just before half-time. The visitors took control in the second half as Scott Murrell, Peter Fox, Josh Hodgson, Kris Welham and Blake Green all went over to seal the win. With both sides knowing defeat would effectively end their hopes of making the play-offs, it was Bradford who settled quickest. They took the lead when a move that practically swept the length of the field enabled Herbert to stride over. But as the first half wore on Hull KR established a foothold and got their first try thanks to Galea's side-step and surge over the line. That left them trailing 8-6 at half-time but they stunned the Bulls with two tries in three minutes just after the break. Slack defending allowed Murrell to stride over before Fox pounced on a loose ball deep inside his own half and carried it 70 metres to score. Worse was to follow for Bradford as Hodgson ran on to his own kick to go over before Welham crossed from close range. Green then outpaced a demoralised Bulls defence to complete a convincing victory which equalled their highest post-war score at Odsal.
