Grix scored 18 points to help the Giants end their losing run
Huddersfield moved back up to third place in the Super League table with a comprehensive win over Hull KR at the Galpharm Stadium.
After losing their last three matches, the injury-hit Giants fell behind once again but then rediscovered their form.
Two tries and five goals from Scott Grix helped Huddersfield take control and Graeme Horne also crossed twice.
A stunning Jake Webster try kept Rovers in touch in the second half but three more scores sealed it for the Giants.
Hull KR's misery was complete when Clint Newton was sin-binned for dissent eight minutes from time.
Scott Taylor had put the visitors in front with a fifth-minute try but Leroy Cudjoe settled Huddersfield nerves when he outjumped Hull KR's Peter Fox to reach a Luke Robinson high kick and level in the 16th minute.
At the end of a tight first half, a clever Graeme Horne gave the Giants breathing space at 24-14 going into the break.
Webster's spectacular run-in from halfway brought the Robins to within four points after 52 minutes, but a burst of tries from Danny Kirmond, Grix and Eorl Crabtree made the scoreline look more comfortable for Huddersfield come the final whistle.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Huddersfield Giants assistant coach Paul Anderson: "It was great that we were able to get the win with the personnel we had available.
"People are going to talk about those that are injured but we should be really talking about the ones that have come into the side.
"Graeme Horne has been frustrated sitting on the sidelines, but he's been given a chance and taken it. He's definitely given us something to think about for next week."
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan: "The season's not dead, we've just got a game less to catch the team that's ahead of us, so let's not cry for too long.
"When people see the newspapers they'll see the result and think it was an easy win, but we stayed with them and worked hard without being able to get our noses in front.
"The real difference was they capitalised on our mistakes more than we did (on theirs)."
