Bradford (0) 6 Tries: Ah Van Goals: Ah Van Atkins scored two tries in each half as Warrington overwhelmed Bradford
Rampant Warrington ran in 12 tries as they subjected Bradford to a crushing defeat at the Halliwell Jones. The tone was set as early as the second mintue when Ryan Atkins went over for the first of his four tries. Joel Monaghan completed a hat-trick for the Wolves with Matt King and Brett Hodgson grabbing two tries apiece. Mongahan's brother Michael crossed for Warrington late on before Patrick Ah Van grabbed the Bulls' solitary try, which offered scant consolation. For the Wolves it was the perfect response to last week's Challenge Cup exit at the hands of Wigan. And they were given a helping hand by Bradford as Ah Van started the game by putting the kick-off out on the full. That gifted possession to the home side in a dangerous position which allowed Atkins to open the scoring. Bradford's sloppiness continued moments later when Bryn Hargreaves lost the ball deep inside his own half - a mistake which was ruthlessly punished by Richie Myler and Hodgson who combined well to send King over in the corner. That was the beginning of another influential afternoon for Super League top points-scorer Hodgson, who added five kicks to his two tries as Wolves closed the gap on leaders Wigan to just one point. POST-MATCH REACTION Warrington assistant coach Willie Poching: "We were very good today right from the start and the response we got from the boys after last week was fantastic. "It wasn't about getting back to winning ways today, but about performing the way we want to, the way we know how and the boys did that plus a bit extra. "The boys were disappointed after last week and they hurt a lot, the whole group hurt, and when you lose a game like that it's always hard. "But we did some soul searching and a lot of work and it was a productive week which we saw thefruits of today." Bradford coach Mick Potter: "We were poor in most facets of the game and they were very good which just goes to show if you are just not on your game you can get burnt especially against a team like Warrington. "Everyone makes mistakes, but we made far too many of them and the other team is just too good to give them those sorts of chances. We just gifted them so much. "We have gone from being very good one week to very poor the next and Warrington were hot today and we just couldn't contain them." TEAMS Warrington: Hodgson, J.
