Wigan forward Joel Tomkins has lost his appeal against a two-match ban imposed following his sending-off in the 14-12 win against Hull on Sunday.

He was red-carded for striking Hull centre Kirk Yeaman with his elbow after being involved in a skirmish with the same player that sparked a mass brawl.

Tomkins will miss the upcoming matches with Huddersfield and Warrington.

Yeaman and Tomkins's brother Sam chose not to appeal the one-match bans handed to them for their part in the brawl.

Meanwhile, Salford prop Ray Cashmere has been banned for the second time in six weeks.

The Australian front rower missed the start of the season after being sent off in a friendly at Hull KR for using abusive language to the referee.

And he will now sit out Friday's home game against Hull KR after being given another one-match ban for punching Leeds full-back Brent Webb during the Reds' 46-12 defeat at Headingley.

Finally, Harlequins second rower Chris Bailey has been cleared to play in Sunday's game at Warrington after being handed a £500 fine for making dangerous contact with St Helens props Tony Puletua during his side's win at Widnes last Friday.
