Richards has scored 21 tries this season for Wigan

Wigan's Pat Richards has been named Super League's player of the month for June while Castleford's Terry Matterson has picked up the coach award.

Ireland and Warriors winger Richards helped maintain his side's place at the top of Super League, kicking 21 goals and scoring four tries.

Matterson led the Tigers to three wins from four, keeping them on course for the end-of-season play offs.

Castleford currently occupy the final position with eight rounds remaining.
