All the teams will dream of making it to Wembley |
Seven-time Challenge Cup winners Widnes have been handed a home tie against amateurs Wigan St Judes in the third round of the tournament next month. The 36 sides in the draw have the incentive of a potential tie against one of the 14 Super League sides. Meanwhile, Cumbrian amateurs Wath Brow Hornets face a stern test against Championship club Leigh Centurions. The draw had to be redone after one of the balls was mistakenly replaced in the bag after being drawn out. Keighley face French opposition for the second successive year but, after disposing of Pia in 2009, face a tougher proposition against Toulouse. Welsh champions Blackwood Bulldogs' reward for their away win over Edinburgh Eagles is a trip to Oldham. "It's another tough tie but we'll go up there with confidence as we want to pull off a shock and bring a Super League side to Glan-yr-Afon Park," said Blackwood chairman Andrew Smith. The ties will all be played over the weekend of 6 and 7 March.
