Barnett had scored 36 tries in 62 games while in Super League |
Championship side Sheffield Eagles have signed former Warrington Wolves and Hull FC winger Richie Barnett. Barnett finalised the one-year deal on Monday after serving a two-year ban for a doping offence. The 28-year-old tested positive for epitestosterone in April 2007 and was suspended from the following February. "Richie wants to go back to the Super League and if we can help him do that, and he can help us, then everybody wins," said Sheffield coach Mark Aston.
