Former NRL star Catic scored a try on his return from injury

Last season's beaten finalists Barrow made a winning start to their Northern Rail Cup campaign with a 34-8 win over Blackpool at Craven Park on Sunday.

Raiders ran in six tries, Liam Campbell notching a brace, while there was also a score for the returning Ned Catic.

Michael Knowles marked his Raiders debut with three conversions as he and Richard Fletcher shared kicking duties.

Damien Munro scored both tries for Blackpool as they managed a consolation try in each half.
