Leuluai helped the Kiwis win their first World Cup in 2008 |
Three Super League players have been included in New Zealand's 45-man training squad for the autumn Four Nations series in England and France. Wigan scrum-half Thomas Leuluai is one of 20 players who were in last year's 24-man World Cup winning squad. Leeds full-back Brent Webb, who missed the tournament through injury is back, while Warrington second row Louis Anderson is also recalled. The Kiwis face England, Australia and France in October and November. Also named in the squad are South Sydney forward David Fa'alago and Sydney Roosters' centre Iosia Soliola, who will be playing for Huddersfield and St Helens respectively in next season's Super League. | 606: DEBATE |
Canterbury Bulldogs' forward Greg Eastwood, who is set to join Leeds, also makes the initial 45-strong squad, which includes 13 uncapped players. They warm up with a one-off Test against Tonga in Rotorua on 14 October before taking on Australia, the team they beat 30-24 in the last November's World Cup final at the Twickenham Stoop 10 days later. A trip to Toulouse for a game against France on 31 October precedes a clash with England at Huddersfield on 7 November. The final follows a week later at Elland Road in Leeds.
