Gateshead Thunder have signed Huddersfield Giants prop Sam Crowther on a one-month loan deal.

Crowther is likely to make his debut in Friday's Championship encounter with Doncaster and coach Chris Hood is pleased to have bolstered his pack.

"Sam is a big, hard working prop who will add another dimension to our forward line," he said.

"He describes his own game as 'honest' and his strengths will be a welcome addition to the side."
