Hunslet Hawks have signed another six players ahead of the new season. The Championship One club's major coup is the capture of loose-forward Chris Redfearn from Keighley Cougars. Highly-rated hooker Gareth Firm has joined from Huddersfield Giants, while scrum-half Gareth Whitehead has come on board from Stanley Rangers. Italian international prop Jason Dubas-Fisher, second-row Scott Bradley, and former Dewsbury and USA Tomahawk Brad Conway are the other new arrivals. Newly appointed director of rugby Darren Williams said: "These signings are further proof that we aim to be a force this season. "Not only are we strengthening the first team but the under-21s and the squad as a whole. "The future of this club looks bright and we continue to grow stronger by the week." These latest signings add to a squad that now boosts three Papua New Guinea internationals, who were signed after their impressive performances in the 2008 World Cup.
