National League One side Halifax have signed utility player Dwayne Barker on a one-year deal.

The 24-year-old former Leeds, Castleford and Hull KR man made 10 appearances for Harlequins during Super League XIII.

"Dwayne comes highly recommended by Quins coach Brian McDermott," said Halifax head coach Matt Calland.

"He's played quite a few games for them and I know Brian thinks he will kill it back in the National League."
