Swain agrees move to Salford Reds

Luke Swain
Swain will bring plenty of experience to the Reds squad

Salford City Reds have made their third NRL capture in a month by signing Gold Coast Titans back forward Luke Swain.

He follows Ray Cashmere and Jeremy Smith in agreeing a two-year deal with head coach Shaun McRae, as he plans for the club's Super League return in 2009.

"Luke is a quality back rower and has played in the NRL for many years so will be bringing plenty of experience to the team next year," said McRae.

"There is a real buzz. Hopefully the fans will soon start to get excited."

Swain, 26, who has spent the last two seasons with the Titans, previously played for Penrith Panthers, where he was a part of their 2003 Premiership-winning team.
