Five of the Barrow Raiders side chasing promotion from National League Two have been selected in the division's team of the month awards for June.

Raiders loose forward Dave Armitstead picked up the player of the month award as well as taking his place in June's top-13 list.

Wing James Nixon, centre Liam Harrison, stand off Darren Holt and hooker Andy Ellis were also named.

Gateshead Thunder utility man Michael Knowles also received a place.

Knowles, 20, has been a regular fixture for Thunder this season, notching five tries for the joint league leaders.
