Gateshead Thunder coach Dave Woods has admitted he was disappointed with his side's display in their 40-18 win against York City Knights on Sunday.
Thunder returned to winning ways following their defeat to Oldham the previous weekend.
Woods told BBC radio Newcastle: "I'm pleased with the win but disappointed with the way we went about it."
"I thought we were pretty poor, we made it hard for ourselves with the mistakes we made."
With Barrow Raiders losing at Hunslet, Gateshead went level at the top of National League Two but Woods is refusing to celebrate until any success has been secured.
"I said last week there will be a lot of changes in the next few weeks, no-one can go unbeaten for a whole season.
"Oldham are pushing and it's going to be very tough, anyone can win on their day."
