Bradford's Jamie Langley should win his first cap off the bench |
Five players are poised to make their Great Britain debuts on Friday after being named in the squad to face France at Headingley. Uncapped Harlequins duo Chris Melling and Paul Sykes are selected in the starting line-up, along with Bradford's Andy Lynch and Salford's Andy Coley.
Bradford's Jamie Langley is named on the bench, with Adrian Morley leading the side for the first time from prop.
Leeds team-mates Danny McGuire and Rob Burrow start at half-back.
Burrow, James Roby, Jon Wilkin and Stephen Wild, who is surprisingly picked at centre rather than in the pack, will also start a Great Britain Test for the first time having previously won caps as replacements.
Great Britain coach Tony Smith, in his action since replacing Brian Noble at the helm, decided to rest the likes of Paul Wellens, Stuart Fielden and Jamie Peacock for the match.

"This is a really strong side and the perfect opportunity for a number of these players to stake their claim for a place in the squad for this autumn's Test Series against New Zealand," said Smith.
"As a group we're all very excited as this is a new beginning not only for the players but the coaching staff who, you could say, are all making their international debuts as well.
"I expect the French to be really tough in the forwards so I've gone for quite a big, but mobile pack.
"This is supported by a very energetic bench to ensure that we can maintain our intensity in the match for the full 80 minutes."
Smith, who is dividing his time between his Lions post and Leeds until the end of the Super League season, has picked Rhinos skipper Kevin Sinfield on the bench.
France, who also include five debutants in their team, are captained led by former
Warrington and Wigan forward Jerome Guisset, one of five players from Catalans
Dragons in the 18-man squad.
Harlequins hooker Julien Rinaldi and Wakefield second rower Olivier Elima are the other Super League players in the French team.
