Sydney Roosters coach Ricky Stuart insists there will be "no excuses" if his side fail towin the World Club Challenge.

The NRL champions have already arrived in Britain in order to acclimatise for next Friday's clash with St Helens at Bolton.

"I know from 'Roo tours that a couple of days are needed to get over the trip and to have adequate time to prepare for the match," said Stuart, who twice toured Britain with Australia.

"That is what we have tried to put our schedule around for this game.

"After the game there will be no excuses because we've got time to prepare for it."

The World Club Challenge is being played in Britain for the fourth consecutive season but Stuart feels no immediate need to see the fixture alternated with an Australian venue.

"It really doesn't worry me. It is a great experience for our younger guys," said the former scrum-half.

"The crowds here have a great passion for the game and it is a very good experience. There's probably more interest with the supporters here for this game than in Australia too."
