Gillings happy with consistency

Isle of Man snowboarder Zoe Gillings believes she had her best season ever.

The 23-year-old finished fifth in the World Cup standings and is regarded as Britain's best hope for a medal at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Last year Gillings was ranked fourth in the world but despite dropping a place, her confidence is higher than ever.

"I'm pleased because the consistency for me this year was much better. I got into more finals and my qualification times were a lot better," she said.

"I managed to get onto the podium twice and I was in four out of eight finals. I'm really pleased about the whole thing but I don't really like coming fourth anymore. I'm getting a bit frustrated about that!"
