Powerlifter Nick Hancock comes fourth at Worlds

Three British athletes competed in the 82.5kg category

Cornwall's Nick Hancock finished fourth in his category at the World Powerlifting Championships in Ireland.

Hancock, 28, was one of three British athletes competing in the 82.5 kg category at the Iontas Centre in Castleblayney, County Monaghan.

Britain's Paul McCaffrey won the category with Alex Tosh coming sixth.

In powerlifting, athletes compete to see who can amass the highest weight total over three different disciplines - squat, bench press and deadlift.

Hancock secured a combined score of 582.5 kg over his three lifts.
