 | James made an assured debut |
LeBron James marked his professional basketball debut with 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Cleveland.
James, who was the number one overall pick in last month's NBA Draft straight from high school, helped the Cavaliers to a 107-80 win over Orlando in the Orlando Summer League.
The game was open to the public - the Summer League is normally exclusively only for NBA personnel and the media - drawing a crowd of 15,123 fans.
Afterwards James said: "You can't get any higher, this is a dream come true - if I could get 14, seven and six each night that would be real good."
Darius Miles and Carlos Boozer each netted 15 points to lead Cleveland, while the Magic's first-round pick, guard Reece Gaines, scored 16 points and also had five assists.
James and the Cavs will participate in the Boston Summer League, starting next week.
The Toronto Raptors have signed their first round draft pick Chris Bosh to a three-year contract worth about $2.9m. Bosh, the fourth overall pick in last month's NBA draft, left Georgia Tech after his freshman year.
The 6ft 11in forward averaged 15.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and made 46.8% (22-for-47) of his three-point attempts last season at college.
