Family fight for Williams body
The Arizona cryogenics laboratory where Williams' body is claimed to be held
Williams' body is claimed to be at this cryogenics lab
A Florida judge will decide this week if the body of baseball great Ted Williams will be cremated or frozen.

The move hopes to settle a family row over Williams' remains which surfaced after his death on Friday, aged 83.

The Boston Red Sox legend's will is to be filed in state court on Tuesday or Wednesday, when a ruling on the issue will be sought.

Williams' oldest daughter, Bobby-Jo Ferrell, claims her father wanted to be cremated.

And she has accused her half-brother, John Henry Williams, of moving the body to an Arizona cryogenics laboratory, claiming he wishes to preserve Williams' DNA, possibly to sell it in the future.

She said: "My dad's in a metal tube, on his head, so frozen that if I touched him it would crack him because of the warmth from my fingertips.

"It makes me so sick," she told a Boston television station.

The cryogenics centre would not confirm the arrival of Williams' body, while his son has so far declined to comment on the affair.
