Davey does most of his triathlon training around Bodmin

Bodmin's Tom Davey will be amongst the 2000 competitors at Saturday's Ironman 70.3 World Championships, held in Clearwater, Florida.

The Cornish triathlete has been in training for the event since graduating from Loughborough University in 2008.

The Ironman 70.3 consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run.

The winner of each age group will qualify automatically for the event next year and receive a share of the $100,000 prize money on offer.
